At Youth Power Sweden, we are excited to announce the development of a brand-new educational webinar series designed to equip youth workers with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to embrace digitalization in youth work!
As digital transformation reshapes the way we communicate, learn, and engage with young people, it is crucial for youth workers and non-formal education (NFE) trainers to stay ahead. This four-part webinar series will explore the most important aspects of digitalization, providing practical insights, expert guidance, and interactive discussions.
What Will This Webinar Series Cover?
Our upcoming webinars will align with the βDigitalization in Youth Workβ educational program and will feature four engaging episodes:
π Webinar 1: Understanding Digitalization β A deep dive into the foundations of digitalization, exploring its evolution, impact on society, and relevance to youth work.
π Webinar 2: Digital Skills for the Future β A hands-on session guiding youth workers on how to assess, develop, and enhance essential digital skills for professional growth and youth engagement.
π Webinar 3: Navigating Digital Ethics and Security β Addressing ethical dilemmas, data privacy, and cybersecurity challenges to ensure responsible and secure digital practices in youth work.
π Webinar 4: Reflecting on Digitalization β A concluding session focused on reflection, evaluation, and strategies for implementing digitalization in daily youth work practices.
How Are We Developing These Webinars?
We are currently in the research and production phase, ensuring that each webinar provides practical value. The process includes:
β Interactive Format Planning – Designing presentations from the plain Word sessions to make them suitable for webinar format.
β Developing webinar scenarios to make sure our approach is more conversational and easily understandable, even for those who are not experienced trainers in the field of non-formal education.
β Recording & Editing – Producing high-quality, accessible webinar sessions that will be available online for youth workers across different regions.
β Use of Virtual Tools – The plan is to use a combination of an on-site setting (securing the right space for webinar recording with a camera, microphone, and all necessary equipment for high-quality video recording) along with various digital tools for editing, such as MS Clipchamp, Canva, MS PowerPoint, and others.
What Can You Expect?
π’ A conversational and engaging approach β These webinars will feel like discussions with colleagues rather than formal lectures.
π’ Real-world applications β Practical strategies that youth workers can immediately implement in their work.
π’ Free & Accessible Content β Once launched, all webinars will be available on our website and YouTube channel for easy access.
