Our partner organizations from Banja Luka – “Perpetuum mobile” Banja Luka, in cooperation with the Association “XY” from Sarajevo and our organization “Youth Power” were the initiators of the movement “Future for Youth”in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which aims to introduce healthy lifestyles and skills into formal education.
From these efforts and commitments of the civil society organization, together with institutions, schools, individuals and other relevant actors, a declaration “Aj’ Zdravo” was signed, whose signatories are the just mentioned partners. All of them gathered at a conference held on Jahorina 7-8. December to prepare an action plan and jointly contribute to this movement. The guests were also addressed by the project manager from CARE International Balkans – Mr. Saša Petković, and representatives of organizations – Emina Osmanagić (Association XY), Nedim Mičijević (Youth Power) and Milica Jovičić (Perpetuum mobile).
The organizers (Perpetuum Mobile, XY Association, Youth Power) had the honor to host representatives of youth at the national, federal, cantonal and local levels. Also, the mentioned gathering was attended by representatives of institutions and schools who were giving guidelines for ideas for further action.
Also, during the conference, a new manual of the Perpetuum mobile Institute for working with special groups of young people was presented, entitled “Program Y +”. A special website is being developed for the newly formed movement, but also between the organizations that have signed the declaration.
The activity was realized within the project Young Men Initiative II (YMI): “Promoting healthier lifestyles among young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina by challenging gender stereotypes II” and the project: “Men and boys as partners in promoting gender equality and addressing extremism. and Youth Violence in the Western Balkans ”, supported by the Government of Switzerland, the Oak Foundation, the Austrian Development Agency and CARE International Balkans.
