Successfully completed ACT – storytelling activity

Within the project ACT – Artists Create Together, we successfully completed the ACT – Historytelling part of the project. During two and a half years, numerous workshops and events, we collected 161 video stories.

The participants were young people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the workshops, we used the methodology of the HistoryNow association, a Dutch partner organization. Participants received a set of storytelling cards, complete instructions on how to use them, as well as written and video tutorials.

The questions used during the workshops and for recording short video stories were the same for all participants within one country, as well as for participants in other partner countries of the ACT project – the Netherlands, Albania, Morocco and Georgia. One of the goals of this approach and the same questions for all participants is to find common characteristics, desires and experiences, regardless of the nationality, ethnicity or religion of the participants.

In the end, 800 stories collected in all partner countries will be archived and opened 50 years from today in order to achieve a retrospective view into people’s personal lives and stories.

We would like to thank all the participants who were part of this story.
