58 young leaders looking for positive changes in their local communities

Youth Power, through its project Become BOLD, organized an educational training for 58 young people from all over BiH, with the aim of developing and improving the skills of writing project proposals focused on positive changes in local communities. Educational training was held in Blagaj, Mostar, in the period from 07.03.2022. to 16.03.2022.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn more about what is a project and what is the project cycle, how to develop projects that positively affect the local environment, how to make a project out of an idea. The entire learning process was led by experienced trainers with more than 10 years of international experience in project development and implementation; together with mentors from all over BiH and the USA.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to improve their skills needed to write projects. Through theory and practice, they learned about project activities and how to develop them. One of the workshops was to develop some of their project ideas where later the participants presented their ideas to the trainers. The 10-day training began with introduction of participants and trainers and team building activities. The first educational workshop was an introduction to what a project is and what project methods exist. This was followed by workshops on “Project Design and Development”, “Project Implementation / Project Management” and “Project Evaluation”. The last two days of the training were spent on learning about the “Elevator pitch” and how to present project and how to analyze the visibility of the project and project results.
